Verenva Healthcare, formerly known as Verenva Care Staffing, is celebrating eight years in the healthcare staffing industry.
Verenva Healthcare began in September 2018 with a vision.
We wanted to build an organization committed to excellence, service, and opportunity.
We wanted to make a meaningful difference in healthcare, for the facilities we serve and for the clinicians who serve them.
Today, that vision continues to move us forward.
As Director of Operations and Clinical Supervisor, I have watched this journey up close.
I have seen it grow one shift, one facility, and one clinician at a time.
This anniversary gives us a chance to look back on how far we have come. It also lets us thank the people who carried us here and share where we are going next.
Where our journey began
Every company starts with a reason. Ours was simple.
Healthcare facilities needed staffing they could depend on. Healthcare professionals needed a company that would treat them with respect.
Burnout is a big part of why that matters.

As a Clinical Supervisor, I see what happens when a shift goes unfilled.
The nurses and aides already on the floor carry the load. The CDC found that nearly half of health workers felt burned out often in 2022, up from 32% in 2018.
Dependable staffing is part of the answer.
We see that pressure every day, and we work to keep it from landing on a facility’s core team.
When a clinician cancels, our coordinators start working on backup coverage right away, day or night. For our own clinicians, we share clear shift details up front and keep a real person reachable when something goes wrong.
Verenva Healthcare began as an idea in a guest room at home in South Carolina.
That idea has grown into a remote team that works together every day toward one shared goal. We want to give facilities dependable staffing and give clinicians real support.
From the very beginning, we committed to doing this work the right way.
That meant answering the phone when it rang, following through on every shift, and treating every clinician like a person, not a number.
Those commitments have not changed in eight years.
What eight years of healthcare staffing taught us
Our first lesson came quickly. A facility’s staffing can change within days.
A schedule can be complete on Monday. By Thursday, one nurse has called out sick and another has started FMLA leave.
The weekend that looked covered now has open shifts. One call-out, one leave of absence, or one resignation can change everything.
We have seen this in nursing homes, assisted living communities, and hospitals.
Directors of nursing and staffing coordinators tell us about it more than almost anything else.
We also learned that many facilities already have staffing support in place. What they need most is dependability.
They need someone who picks up when the schedule suddenly stops working. That is why a real person on our team answers, day or night, every day of the year.

We also learned the value of relationships.
We try to get to know facilities before they need us. We ask how they run and where coverage gets tight.
We ask what has made past staffing partners easy or hard to work with. When a gap opens up, it helps when both sides already know each other.
Building the team behind every shift
A staffing company is only as strong as the people behind the scenes.
Over the years, that small beginning has grown into a team with staffing coordinators, human resources, accounting, and sales. We work from different places, but we work as one team.
Each of us plays a part in every shift we fill.
Our staffing coordinators keep schedules moving. Our HR team keeps credentials current and onboarding clear.
Our accounting team keeps records accurate. Our sales team builds the relationships that open new doors.
As we grew, our systems had to grow with us.
We changed some processes that worked for a smaller team, and we rebuilt others from scratch.
Many of those changes happened fast. A growing team cannot wait for a perfect plan, so we learned to adjust while the work kept moving.
Today, our VHive platform helps us keep credentials current, schedules organized, and every shift visible to the facilities we serve.
What carried us through every change was our people. When something needs attention, our team steps in and works it out together.
Growing alongside our clinicians
Our clinicians are the heart of our journey. They are the people facilities see every day.
Our RNs, LPNs, and CNAs walk into new units, get to know new teams quickly, and step in when a facility is short. Some pick up per diem shifts.
Others take on longer assignments. Wherever they go, they carry the Verenva Healthcare name into every building they serve.

Facilities trust the clinician who shows up prepared, does good work, and makes the shift easier for everyone around them.
Over eight years, our clinicians have built that trust one assignment at a time.
That is why our expansion matters so much to them. New facility relationships can mean new assignments.
New communities and new states can mean more choices about where and when to work.
As we recently told our clinicians: Verenva Healthcare is growing, and we want you to grow with us!
2026: Taking Verenva Healthcare beyond the Carolinas
This year has been one of the most exciting chapters in our journey. We took Verenva Healthcare beyond the Carolinas.
We exhibited at trade shows in Nebraska and Tennessee, where our team met healthcare leaders and built new connections.

We are also working on expanding to other states and locations.
We also launched our Facebook and LinkedIn pages, so our clinicians, partners, and new communities can follow our expansion as it happens.
For me, the best part of these trips is the conversations we get to make with DONs and other healthcare professionals.
Every community has its own facilities and its own healthcare staffing pressures. Meeting people face to face teaches us things a phone call cannot.
Some of those conversations will become partnerships. Others help us understand a community before we try to serve it.
We would rather take the time to learn a place than rush into it.
Thank you to everyone who made this journey possible
No single person built these eight years. Many people did, one day at a time.
To our healthcare staffing and facility partners: thank you for trusting us with your teams. Your feedback, and your honesty about what works and what does not, shaped how we operate today.
To the healthcare leaders we have met at trade shows and facility visits: every conversation taught us something.
To our entire Verenva Healthcare team: this celebration belongs to all of you. Every department, every team member, and every clinician has played an important role in our journey. Thank you for your hard work, loyalty, and commitment.
And to our President, Oliver Pahila: we extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for your vision, leadership, perseverance, and commitment.
Your vision has opened new doors and created new opportunities for Verenva Healthcare. It continues to inspire us to reach higher.
The journey continues

As we celebrate eight incredible years, we are not only looking back at what we have accomplished. We are looking forward to our next chapter of growth.
We will keep building in South Carolina and North Carolina, the communities that helped us grow.
At the same time, we will keep getting to know new communities in Nebraska, Tennessee, Florida, and beyond.
Every new connection can mean more facilities to support and more opportunities for our clinicians and our team.
We will face challenges along the way. For eight years, this team has risen to every one of them. I am confident we will rise to the next ones too.
We are growing. We are expanding. And we are just getting started.
Here’s to eight years of Verenva Healthcare and many more years of growth, opportunities, milestones, and success together.
To our facility partners, current and future: when your schedule stops working, we are here. Talk to our team.
To every nurse and CNA ready for what’s next: grow with us. Explore our open opportunities.
Happy 8th Anniversary, Verenva Healthcare, and more to come!
