The Founder

It started with a family of nurses

Oliver Pahila, Founder and President, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York. For nearly thirty years with The Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Company, he served as Director of Engineering for sixteen years leading teams through complex, high-stakes product and system design. He holds more than 30 U.S. patents in fire protection technology, with patents extending across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Spain, and China.

The Problem

That discipline followed him home

Coming from a family of nurses, Oliver had a close view of what healthcare professionals carry every day. Short-staffed floors. Last-minute scrambles that nobody upstream acknowledged. Burnout from covering gaps that should never have gotten that deep. He watched this affect his family, and heard enough from others in the field to know it was not an isolated problem. It was structural. It was consistent. And for someone who had spent decades solving systems failures, it was not something he could ignore. In September 2018, Verenva Healthcare was founded.

The Dynamic Team Behind Verenva Healthcare

Verenva Healthcare was not built by Oliver alone.

From the beginning, his wife Anna Lee Pahila, a seasoned nurse, stood beside him—bringing the insight only years on the hospital floor can teach.

Anna Lee brings more than thirty 30 years of clinical nursing experience across diverse healthcare settings, including high-acuity hospital environments and long-term care services. Her background includes 15 years’ experience in a Level 4 Trauma hospital setting. Anna Lee worked in respected healthcare institutions including Westchester Medical Center, St. Agnes Hospital, and Mt. Vernon Hospital in New York. Throughout her clinical career, she witnessed firsthand the operational challenges healthcare facilities face when staffing systems fail. She understood not only the policies and procedures behind healthcare operations, but also the realities experienced by nurses managing demanding schedules and administrators striving to maintain safe and consistent patient coverage.

Today, as Director of Operations and Clinical Supervisor, Anna Lee has turned that experience into action. She mapped the systemic breakdowns others overlooked, ensuring that reliability replaces chaos and that a simple confirmation email truly represents a covered shift.

Anna Lee and Oliver share the same conviction: the staffing problem is solvable—and solving it the right way means staying accountable long after a match is made.
